1960 Tsunami

History lesson of the week: 
In 1960 one of the largest recorded earthquakes hit the south of Chile. The magnitude was approximately measured at 9.5, with the center of the earthquake in Valdivia. Some of the people still talk about the earthquake, but almost everyone talks about the tsunami. Shortly after the shocks a tsunami came and wiped out much of Niebla and Corral. Here are some photos of Corral today, about 50 years after the earthquake.
